Workshop at Latitude Festival

One weekend this summer I journeyed to Latitude Festival to help run a workshop, teaching children to knit and helping them to explore new ideas. In a quiet corner of the family campsite, a group of us set up the foundations of what was soon to be a garden made entirely from knitted wool.

The project is named 'The Woolly Wonderland' and was started in 2012 by Bethany Mitchell

We must have worked with over 200 children and adults over the long weekend, and taught each one how to french knit and make pom pom's. Using just these two techniques everyone used their imaginations to create a whole forest full of different species of animal and plant.
